To be able to give the best teaching and training we can with enough time to practise on the mannequin, we have limited the class size to between 8 and 12 trainees
Bring a pen and a notebook, arrive on time and you will be ready! Everything else is provided – including tea, coffee and biscuits.
Once you have booked the course, a full and detailed programme will be emailed or sent to you along with a short questionnaire for you to fill out. The day starts at 09:30 and ends at around 17:30 with two fifteen-minutes breaks and one hour-long lunch break.
NO. Your progress will be assessed throughout the day using different methods. A certificate of attendance/completion of training will be awarded at the end of the course.
The course is run by a team of qualified and experienced people from different specialities lead by a GP. They have experience in both the NHS and private sectors.
There are no formal requirements for phlebotomy training as there are no governing bodies in the UK. However, NHS trusts have come up with guidelines and frameworks for competency that we follow in our course.
With the certificate of attendance/completion, you will have a better chance of getting a job (bearing in mind that most phlebotomy applicants have no previous experience), and you will be ahead ofother applicants with your training confirmation.
